LCI Reading & Art Celebration

NC State University’s Literacy and Community Initiative (LCI) would like to formally invite you to the 7th Annual Reading and Art Celebration!

The celebration will be on Wednesday, May 7th at the East Wing Education Gallery and Auditorium in the North Carolina Museum of Art from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The art gallery and reception will be held from 6:30-7:15 p.m. The reading will begin at 7:15 p.m. in the auditorium.

Refugee student authors and artists will share their narratives from their new book, Beyond Survival: The (In)visible Thread of Refugee Stories and the artwork they have created in collaboration with local artist Marriott Sheldon. The authors will also perform a book reading, answer audience questions, and participate in a book signing.

Please see the parking map here. The closest parking is P1 with handicapped parking. We will be in the EAST BUILDING. The museum will be closed, but the building is open for our event.
