In a season of both immense opportunity and challenge, we are thrilled to introduce Ryan Doherty as the new Executive Director of Refugee Hope Partners! Ryan will be working alongside Michele Suffridge, RHP’s Founder and CEO, to lead and expand our mission of loving our refugee neighbors with the hope of the gospel in partnership with the local church.
Ryan comes to RHP with deep ministry leadership experience and a heart that beats for the Great Commission. His journey has been shaped by hands-on refugee ministry, international travel, anda passion for mobilizing others to participate in God’s mission. From leading key teams at The Summit Church to advocating for refugees on Capitol Hill, Ryan has been preparing for this role long before stepping into it.
“God has given amazing growth to RHP over the last several years and the board is incredibly excited to welcome Ryan into this work! We are confident he’ll provide excellent leadership for the staff and valuable support for Michele, allowing her the time and space to focus on shaping the next phase of the organization.” – Erin Folz, RHP Board Chair
As we tackle the growing needs of newly arrived refugee families in the Triangle, we believe Ryan is the right leader to help us navigate this moment and step boldly into the future.
This leadership transition comes at a pivotal time for RHP. Right now, our team is actively responding to the loss of case support for dozens of families, ensuring they receive the help they need. With Ryan at the helm, we are excited to move forward with strength, vision, and unwavering commitment to this work.
“This position is an incredible opportunity to live out the Great Commission by loving and helping those in need across the street from around the world.” — Ryan Doherty
Your Support Fuels This Mission
With new leadership comes new momentum—but the heart of our mission remains the same. As we continue responding to urgent needs and walking alongside refugee families, your generosity makes it possible for us to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and ensure that no family is left without hope.
Right now, we are working to raise $800,000 by May 3 through our Our Neighbors, Our Calling campaign, equipping RHP to meet the growing needs of refugee families in our community.
